The crucial degrees and critical 29th degree marker

 Critical Degrees in Astrology:

Classic critical degrees are 0, 13, and 26 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn); 8-9 and 21-22 degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius); and 4 and 17 degrees of mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). These are considered sensitive, and sometimes strengthening, points. If a natal planet is found in a critical degree, that planet is emphasized and assumes more power in the life of the native due to its placement.

0/13/26 Cardinal
8/9/21/22 Fixed
4/17/ Mutable
Many astrologers consider 0 and 29 degrees of any sign critical degrees as well. The 0 and 29 degrees are more crisis-oriented points, especially in predictive work.
=============================
The 29th degree of a sign is one to be recognized as a crucial point to consider.  In my own teacher's view, the 29th degree was a critical marker of intense action, activity, and energy:  "on the razor's edge" was how it was described.  It was the indication of an extreme nature and release, for better or worse--but often an over-dramatic outlet for that sign, especially when coupled with a planet.
     There was only one time, he said, when a 29-degree point was favored:  the last day of Aries.  A person born on this day (and one of my "older sisters" is April 19) is someone who can manifest goals and objectives at the last critical minute and therefore create results under extreme deadlines.
       The following are other views of the 29th degree.  I should note in numerology that a person born on the 29th day of the month is said to be fated for heavy-duty Life Experiences that their soul has otherwise avoided learning.  Michael Jackson, U.S. President John F. Kennedy, and U.S. Senator and presidential candidate John McCain were all born on the 29th.
===============================
29th degree
     Also known as the Anaretic Degree, defective vision is noted with this degree. It’s the weakest point in the sign it represents; tired and often showing more of the next sign than the sign it’s in. The planet and house placement is always getting ready to make a change and the 29th degree adds a decision-making complication to the house. Able to see both sides of an issue, there is oscillation between one view and the other and a struggle to make any decision at all. Decisions are put off or there is a continuous re-evaluation due to new information. At the end of his rope, the individual may make a quick decision, simply to do something, but this takes on the characteristic of Too Much or Too Little. Metaphorically, he may dive into the pool before checking to see if it has water.

     A placement of a planet in the 29th degree in a house automatically makes the ability to manifest the characteristics of that house structure more fuzzy, and the interaction with the people of that house more vague and less decisive. Sun in the 29th degree often causes a major career change in mid life. This position can slow down career success because of poor decision-making skills. Women with their Sun in a 29th degree have a tendency to marry men who are ineffectual in some way: trouble keeping a job, born followers, too passive, emotional problems. Again this is related to the concept of poor decision-making (both on the part of the woman and on the part of the husband). Disgraced Wall Street financier Bernie Madoff had Venus 29 Taurus in his career house. He was blinded by the love of money and what he could do with it.
     A 29th degree in a progressed chart often stimulates the characteristics, either positive or negative of the relationship, and a last fling jump for the characteristics of the sign, in the house that it is in. Saturn in 29th Capricorn is the degree of the workaholic. The individual can’t seem to get enough hard work. But s/he runs into obstacles in getting it, and often vacillates between working to death, and no work.

        If a natal planet is found at 29 degrees of any sign, also known as the Anaretic degree, there can be some real issues with decision-making in that part of the personality represented by the energies of the planet. The native may evaluate and re-evaluate situations before making a move one day, and the next day, jump into the action without listening to himself or herself! For example, if Mars is at 29 degrees, the native may devise many plans of actions, worry excessively about the possible actions and different routes to take, and then execute a spontaneous action that is contrary to the decision! Former president Donald Trump has Mars and the ascendant at 29 Leo.
      Someone with 29 degrees of Mercury may agonize over decisions in his/her life, and vacillates between talking too much and too little.

     Besides decision-making problems, vacillation, and jumping into situations blindly, the 29th degree is also associated with a sense of urgency. It's the last degree of the zodiac sign, and there can be a real sense of urgency surrounding the characteristics and associations of the particular sign.
     In progressions, when, for example, the Sun enters the 29th degree, the native's year can be crisis-oriented. If the Sun progresses to 29 degrees of Libra, for example, the sense of urgency and crisis can surround relationships.   Divorce or jumping into a new partnership rather blindly may be the result of this urgency.  (I personally experienced this when my progressed ascendant was 29 Libra.)  If the Sun progresses to 29 degrees of Virgo, a big change might be made in work. Generally, decisions made at the time of the 29th degree can be hasty.

My Progressed Sun is at 29 degrees Aquarius conjunct my Natal Venus exactly. I can't stop thinking about marriage, although I've never wanted to marry before. But it would have to be a non traditional ( Aquarius) marriage and really free spirited. And there is a sense of urgency too.. But I doubt I'll act on these feelings at all. Just a happy fantasy.

I have no planets in such, but my rising sign. How it manifests in this case? In my case, it's 29° degrees of Aquarius, almost all my first house is covered by Pisces,no planets though.
My Uranus is in scorpio, 9th house, 27° degrees, conjunct venus also in 9th house,but conjunct MC.
I'm libra sun, 8th house.

What influence would Pluto at 29 degrees virgo (house 5) represent? A lot of turmoil this year...had to move for the 1st time in 24 years, couldn't find a place and we had eviction proceedings started against us, daughter suicidally depressed, CPS founded me with neglect charges for hitting my significant other in front of our children, relative indifferences...just hoping not much worse is going to happen or at least be prepared for it. Thank you for any help.

mars transit 29th leo 4th so frantically looking to get it ordered to move and had it all together to escape tenency insanity. Suddenly veered into something I knew was crazy considering. Disorder. I was flying and I didnt see the 4 inch concrete divider.Suddenly my toe caught and I was frailing through the air landing on my left shoulder. My inner right thigh, shoulder blade, full rib cage was bruised so im on the couch. The drama that contributed to the stimulation stopped, full stop. Today its 29.

Okay, 29 degrees 59 minutes Scorpio ...in the 12th house.. and yes, that is the time on my birth certificate.... I am a Sag rising, moon in Sag (12th house also)....Mercury in Sag and Saturn in Sag all those are in the first house... I have spent many an hour, day, month agonizing over my relationship with my husband, who I did not marry until I was 37 ... I had put off marriage for years... because, well for one thing, I wanted an education... but my family had no money. I paid for my B.S in Psychology, working, a lot. Before that, in my 20's I did manage to make my first dream come true .... I worked with race horses for 8 years...through my 20's.... but again the 29 degrees of my Sun is expressed by, wondering if I should stay married... When young, I was NOT into it...really, although that is my background, the people I come from are mainly just family oriented. I was different. Anyway... I am not just "accepting" of marriage, partly because I married a Virgo (ha, partly kidding.)... We definitely have our issues... and two beautiful girls... oh and one grandson, 1 year old..

My Venus has progressed to 21 Taurus and man I've never felt more of a strong push to try and find love. I feel like I'm desperate to quickly find someone, which I haven't :(. My sun has progressed to 29 Taurus so I think that's also given me a sense of absolute urgency in finding someone. I also have met more people than normal with their natal Venus and Mars at 29 degrees this year!

I met a man a few months ago with his natal Venus at 29 Gemini exactly semisextile his natal Mars at 29 Cancer and I swear to you the day we broke up he told me he'd "probably never find anyone" since he is currently 31 going on 32 next July and is still single and apparently has never had luck dating. In my opinion his retrograde Cancer Mercury exactly conjunct his Sun hinders him (his Sun-Mercury conjunction also happens to be exactly conjunct my Ascendant as well which is probably why I couldn't always understand him since that retrograde Mercury of his was bearing down on my Ascendant). I thought that since we both have Venus semisextile Mars (my semisextiles are Venus at 19 Aries semisextile Mars at 19 Pisces) and his Sun is smack dab on my Ascendant that maybe somehow we'd connect on a soul level but unfortunately he didn't feel that. His loss!

I have three friends all born with their natal sun at 29 Aries closely conjunct my 2 Taurus sun. I was born April 22nd but should've been born 3 days earlier on April 19th thus giving me a 29 Aries sun which is auspicious as you mention in your article. These 3 women all have first names that start with ''M" and all married at age 24 in 2016 after all meeting their spouses in 2014 at age 22 after all ending a 3-year relationship with someone else. It's amazing how uncanny astrology can be sometimes! I met two of them at a club for mixed race people where one of them was the club president who as you said just seemed to always manage to get things done just in time and the other girl was the event organizer who again procrastinated a great deal but yet somehow always managed to pull out all the stops and get sh*t done last minute. The last girl is a family friend I've known all my life. She had her first child last October and whenever I talk to her she always seems to have a story about how she gets things done in the knick of time despite her busy baby and work life schedule (she even manages to schedule in date nights 3 days a week with her husband lol, idk how her busy ass does it). And here I am over here born a mere 3 days later and I can't procrastinate ever because I know I'm not lucky like them where things will miraculously fall into place.
